31 workouts in May, but don't feel extremely fit. Here is the breakdown:
Tennis - 14
Kickboxing - 14
Golds - 2
Run - 1
Summary:
Need to make sure something is done every day.
Need to run more.
Need to hit Golds at least once a week - otherwise it is not worth the money.

April 2011 summary
April was a relaxation month with only 19 workouts (first time in a quite a while that 20 workout plan was not accomplished). Did play more tennis, however, which is very good.
Overall:
7 kickboxing
8 tennis
4 Golds.
Need to do more Golds, but kickboxing workouts are so taxing that there is rarely a feeling that I need to lift more. But still, Golds is important.

March 2011 summary
31 days - 31 workouts. Not a workout/every day, but some days managed to do 3. However, there was some burnout, especially after some relatively intense Kickboxing sparring.
Overall: Kickboxing: 16 times
Golds Gym: 5 times.
Tennis: 10 times.
This means that on average I kickboxed every other day and played tennis once every three days. Not bad, but definitely need to do more weight lifting. Not sure when, but whenever get a chance.

Feb summary
28 days in Feb - 23 workouts, even with almost a week missed due to being sick. Not too bad. Need to start keeping track of what kind of workouts I do. For the next month, not only the counts, but also categories - Golds, Tennis, Kickboxing, skiing, etc, are important. 7 trips to Golds in Feb.

Feb - a year of workouts
Now, that 1 year anniversary of my workouts is drawing upon me, it is a time for some observations:
1) It is still hard to get out of bed, but motivation is the key! Hence, joining a better gym was important.
2) Time dedicated to tennis still lags behind other fitness activities.
3) Kickboxing gives a great workout.
With this in mind - after a week of membership at Golds, I've gone there quite a few times. Since there was no kickboxing on Sat, went to Golds on Sat for a 2 hour workout (1/2 hour on elliptical and 1.5 hours of bench presses, abs, back, triceps, biceps, quads, calves, shoulders). Very nice workout. Sunday, went back for a 1/2 hour of bike riding with some abs and triceps. Sunday night - two hours of doubles and 1 hour of singles. Good weekend sport-wise, especially considering that I am fighting cough and cold.

January 2011 is over
27 workouts in January - very decent. Skiing a few times, kickboxing, gym.
Sort of a treat to myself, but rather because Bally's membership has gone up to $21/month, switched to Golds' Gym (for the same amount, but a whole lot more pleasant experience).
Going on to green belt in kickboxing - should I feel proud? :)
7 Golds workouts in January - trying to keep total to see if I get my money worth.

Mid Jan 2011
Here we are - two weeks since the last post.
1) Kick boxing is going well. 4 times last week and feels great. Very decent workout.
2) Tennis is quite average. Signed up for two mixed teams. Practiced a couple of times. Played first match and surprisingly won. However, playing once a week is definitely not enough.
3) Bally's still stinks. Tried to use work gym, but it does not seem to be working out too well. Need to get back to my early morning or late evening routine. Gold's is offering $20/mo + $60 signing fee deal, so took out a 7 day trial membership. So much cleaner and nicer than Bally's. Love the windows and clean showers (with curtains!!!)
4) LA Fitness opened at North Bethesda New Market - printed out a 7 day (3 visit) free pass - will give it a try.
